The Department of Botany has come into existence in 1984 with undergraduate course combination of Botany/Zoology/Chemistry; M.Sc. Botany started from 2021 and conducted under self-finance scheme. Teaching methods include traditional black board lecture method, field visits, poster/model method, project and assignment method, group discussion method, power point presentation method and modern smart audio visual classes as well as conduct Class tests, Unit tests, surprise tests and Model exams from time to time help to assess the progress of the students.
